Weapons Training

There is much emphasis these days on Carry & Concealed weapons. The problem is, there are going to be places and times when you simply will Not have access to your side-arm/pistol ... If you even have one.

The TRUE Equalizer is a Stick. That is right ... a Stick!

You can find a stick, or stick-like object, nearly anywhere: Consider a broom, garden, rake, umbrella, walking cane, or even an inkpen ... yes, you read correctly ... an Inkpen. And you can even carry an inkpen on an airplane.

Anyone who tells you, or tries to sell you a book or video, a small blunt piece of wood is going to stop a serious attacker is either lying to you, or has never tried it in reality. Than little blunt piece of wood is only going to Piss Off the attacker. Remember: those cool looking demonstrations Always involve an attacker who holds still for the defender to do their thing ... just like modern karate.

And then there are the idiots trying to teach Biting Techniques for defense ... Really??? In today's culture? That is an open invitation to Blood-borne Disease more than anything else.

Important to remember ... gang-bangers and threats with firearms are everywhere, these days. It has been proven that shooting a person who is high on various drugs will Not stop the person. Nor will touch-point-fighting techniques from modern karate or the tap-out holds of BJJ and MMA. Smash a knee-joint, however, and whether the bad-guy or bad-gal feels it or not, you can get away if their leg doesn't work.

Within your first two classes, we get right into handling weapons; beginning with the staff, then the 2' baton (also called and Escrima Stick or Arnis Baston) ... and once you have control of those weapons, we move into blades such as knives, daggers, the machete, and even swords ... the fundamental techniques are all the same.

Adult, Teen, and Junior Students alike begin not only learning Forms, but how to exchange techniques and actually spar with the weapon.

So-called Tournament World Champions in Weapon Forms are a-dime-a-dozen, and their forms are pretty ... but if you cannot fight with your weapon, then you are just dancing.

NOTE: We are not teaching Sport Fencing, this is actual Weapons Combat Sparring including kicks & grabs.

You will Fight the way you Train!!!

Our Short Stick Training comes directly from Philippine Escrima, also called Arnis and/or Kali which teaches stick first, then moves into bladed weaponry.

We teach a system which combines Philippine Machete & Stick skills with Japanese Tanbo-Jutsu and European Dagger-Fighting.

These techniques apply to the common walking cane ...

... and to the Combat Machete.

You will learn Defensive & Disarming Maneuvers ...

And how to fight!

Practice, Practice, Practice!
